Service Time: Holy
Eucharist Every Sunday, 9 AM History: THE
BEGINNING OF The first religious service,
according to the “Use” of the “Protestant Episcopal
Church,” was held on Trinity Sunday, June 11, 1854. The first celebration of the
Holy Communion was on Sunday, August 6, 1854. The first Confirmation in the
parish was held by Bishop Burgess October 29, 1854. The parish was admitted
into union with the convention of the Diocese, July 11, 1855. Work was commenced on our
present church in September, 1877, and the building was completed in August,
1882. On October 6, 1882 the building was consecrated by the Bishop of the
Diocese. Organizations of Trinity Parish
in the 1800’s and early 1900’s were the Ladies’ Aid; St.
Monica’s Society; Trinity Guild; St. Agnes Guild; Altar Chapter,
Woman’s Auxiliary; Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew; Junior
Chapter of Brotherhood of St. Andrew; Boys’ Brigade; Ecclesiastical
Embroidery Class.
